Amber Lobos – Safety & Loss Prevention Manager
Safety and Loss Prevention Manager, Amber Lobos, has worked for Goodwill for twelve years. She started in the retail stores as a supervisor and promoted up to roles of assistant manager and store manager before assuming her current duties. Amber says, “I have been given a great opportunity to work in several of our retail locations and enjoyed all of them. The teams here at Goodwill work hard and take pride in what they accomplish and I like to consider myself part of that team.” Amber’s greatest joy is being a wife and mother. She says her favorite thing to do in life is to spend quality time with her family, including going to the movies, going to church, doing activities together, playing board games or even just cooking a meal at home and renting a movie. Amber says she hasn’t done much traveling, but the most memorable moment and place she has traveled would have to be Washington D.C and New York for her son’s eighth grade graduation trip where they were able to learn all kinds of wonderful things and history about our country. She recently had the pleasure of watching her daughter exhibit her cooking skills on a nationally televised show after she took the initiative to go through the application and audition process.
Amber has an Associates of Science Degree from San Joaquin Valley College, a Certificate from the UC San Diego International Safety Education Institute for OSHA 1910 Standards Training for General Industry, and an Occupational Safety & Risk Management Certificate from California State University, Bakersfield.
